InjectaFem is an injectable contraception that works by releasing progestin hormone into the bloodstream. It is over 99% effective and offers the client 3 months of protection. It is administered by an injection in the gluteal or deltoid muscle (every 3 months) by a healthcare provider. It is effective immediately – it stops ovulation and inhibits sperm transport though the fallopian tube and prevents implantation.
